[ENG Ver.] I Took That Cool Shop Lady Home With Me

Editorial Review

★3.8 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Landing squarely in the “cool clerk” corner of the adult manga/doujinshi space, this English edition plays on the onee-san archetype that has become a reliable staple of the genre, where a composed, professional woman gradually reveals an appetite that contradicts her demeanor. The setup is a familiar everyday-fantasy: a regular customer, a neighborhood café, and a routine question that gets turned into a pickup line.

What gives it some shape is the hook built into its premise. The café’s stock question, “for here or to go?”, becomes the pivot of the story when the protagonist blurts out that he’d like to take the clerk home, then immediately regrets it. The comedy of that panic, followed by her unexpected acceptance, sets up a reversal in which the supposedly unflappable woman becomes the more eager party. The synopsis promises a progression from a take-home encounter to scenes back inside the café itself, so the setting pulls double duty rather than serving as a one-off backdrop. Production is another strength: all 50 pages are in full color, a generous length for the format, and the file comes as both JPEG and PDF for flexible reading. Circle SigMart (SigMa) also ties the book to a companion audio piece centered on the same heroine, Shiraishi Yui, which suggests the character is conceived with real personality rather than as a disposable template.

Readers who enjoy the cool-to-lustful contrast, light romantic-comedy setups, and full-color volumes with some page count to them will get the most out of it. A confident, easygoing pick for anyone who likes their café fantasies served with the composure cracking.
