Dangerous and innocent Yulia

Editorial Review

★3.8 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

A choice-based mermaid romance that prioritizes wholesome relationship-building alongside explicit content—a hybrid approach increasingly common in the Japanese adult game space, though rarely executed with this particular balance of nurturing gameplay and erotic payoff.

The distinguishing factor here is the deliberate framing of non-sexual intimacy as the emotional core. Yulia’s innocence isn’t a narrative pretense for fetishization; the game explicitly offers players the option to develop her character through teaching and caregiving without triggering erotic scenes, creating branching paths that reward restraint as much as indulgence. This design choice, combined with approximately 250 voiced conversational lines and 12 non-H event scenes, suggests a creator interested in pacing and relationship depth rather than maximizing explicit content density. The Live2D implementation across both H-scenes (10 total, fully voiced) and conversation sequences indicates production values above the typical DLsite minimum—animation quality matters for immersion in character-driven ADVs, and this appears to have received genuine investment.

The mermaid premise itself is a well-worn vessel, but the synopsis hints at genuine worldbuilding friction: Yulia’s unfamiliarity with human society and the protagonist’s role as both teacher and romantic interest creates genuine narrative tension. Whether that tension sustains across three branching endings depends on the dialogue quality and pacing, which the synopsis doesn’t fully reveal.

The three-ending structure with substantial replay value—particularly given the moral/choice dimension around the protagonist’s sexual agency—suggests this targets players who want narrative consequence without sacrificing adult content. The review campaign incentive (epilogue video) implies ongoing community engagement, typical of mid-budget DLsite releases.

This appeals specifically to players seeking mermaid romance with production polish who prefer character development interleaved with eroticism rather than competing with it. A solid mid-tier choice-based ADV that doesn’t pretend to be something it isn’t.
