Recommended Review – Unholy Maiden
It’s incredibly fun.
Yet I’ve only just reached the midpoint…or wait, am I still in the early stages? The story barely feels like it’s progressed.
I was planning to write a review after seeing the ending, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon, so I’ll write based on what I’ve experienced so far.
It’s basically a standard free RPG.
Every quest has an enormous number of choices, and your actions cause those options to branch out infinitely.
Without exaggeration, it’s at the level of Skyrim. Seriously. And surprisingly, I haven’t encountered any flag management failures or bugs so far.
When you change equipment, it reflects on the character’s appearance.
How is this game even working… it doesn’t make sense…
What’s more, the map is incredibly vast. You’ll definitely get lost. Yet once you get used to it, you naturally remember the locations. It’s truly amazing.
The towns are also reasonably sized, and despite having no fast travel, it’s never frustrating. I wish all doujin eroge would reference this town design.
You can determine your direction through the initial character creation, but it’s better to lean fully toward either order or chaos.
If you stay in the middle, there will be spells you can’t learn.
I haven’t found a stat reset function yet, so decide your direction before distributing stats. That said, experience flows in so abundantly regardless of your choices that you probably don’t need to worry too much.
If you want to see erotic scenes, it’s easier if you choose the habit that increases lust easily. Actually, without it, I couldn’t see them at all.
Since I couldn’t select the erotic options without raising lust, I kept repeating a cycle where I’d avoid sexual content and lust would drop. I was supposed to become an evil, promiscuous, perverted mage, but I stayed as a pure-hearted older sister throughout the early game. Why…?
The fetish content might be… well, actually quite selective for some people.
There’s a lot of rough and crude erotic content.
But it’s so entertaining that you won’t even mind that.
An incredible masterpiece arrived at year’s end. Please at least try the demo version.

Combat uses symbol encounters, but once you’re caught, enemies approach at high speed and you can hardly ever escape.
When you want to focus on exploration, this makes dungeon crawling tedious.
Even with auto-battle, the characters use magic instead of attacking stronger, so it’s faster to just mash the attack button. However, these numbers change based on your build, so it might be intentionally challenging.
Shortcuts are helpful, but there are so many that even when you can see them, you can’t reach them. It’s mildly stressful. I often wondered which area a particular shortcut led to.
The town events are excellent.
If I could request something, it would be nice to know the conditions required for each event.
It was really great how the protagonist changes based on your choices.
Um… I came to play an erotic game, but I can’t stop playing because I’m curious about how exploration, builds, and alignment affect my actions…
It’s just genuinely fun as a game…?!?!
Comparing it to other games might be nonsensical, but it’s like El* or Sk*rim—it has high freedom, and the perspective (world) changes based on the choices you make. The amount of effort put into this is incredible.
If you take virtuous actions, public safety improves; if you take chaotic actions, people treat you more harshly.
These changes are felt throughout both erotic and non-erotic content, making it extremely engaging.
What’s particularly excellent is the character status (origin) and special ability (fetish) system.
This allows for scenarios like:
・A saintly maiden of the slums—lowborn and physically impure, yet spiritually pure-hearted
・A well-born girl with sadistic tendencies who loves hearing subordinates scream
You can advance with TRPG-style roleplay mixed into your character setup. As someone who enjoys TRPGs and character-building games, I particularly appreciated this element.
Furthermore, as mentioned before, the world around you changes based on the choices you make during your adventure.
You experience something you can’t get from CG collections or visual novels—the player’s choices are directly reflected, and you become immersed in the character and world. This structure is amazing, and before you know it, you’re playing with eroticism completely forgotten.
Of course, the game also nails the important fundamentals.
・Excellent play feel, great usability, and thoughtful guidance
・Characters and worldbuilding are thoroughly developed; everyone feels like a living person
・You can go straight for the erotic content if you want, or take your time with farming and other activities—high freedom ◎
Beyond that, there are mountains of good things you won’t discover until you try it. It’s incredible, a monster-class work. By all means, give it a try and roleplay with your favorite version of Atla. You’ll get hooked!!
Synopsis – Unholy Maiden
Freely allocate and develop basic stats: Health, Strength, Technique, Intelligence, Charm, and Beauty. Depending on your initial “origin” and three “formative experiences,” you gain diverse initial abilities such as “exhibitionism,” “alcoholism,” “anal weakness,” “masochism,” and more. Abilities can also be acquired through your playstyle and are reflected in your character’s sprite outfit through equipment combinations, enabling a wide range of builds and roleplay—from “anal-weak, pure-hearted female knight” to “evil, promiscuous, perverted nun.”
