Synopsis
Having recognized Kashou Minadzuki’s talents in running his patisserie, Beignet felt her role was over. So she closed La Soleil in France and entrusted Fraise, the catgirl she raised, to him.
Fraise feels a fondness towards Kashou but becomes bewildered in the face of his 6 catpanions. She turns to Shigure for advice but she too harbors a hidden love for him. Fraise feels that the relationship between siblings is the most important while Shigure feels the happiness of her catgirls is what is most important.
Motivated by their desire to make sure the other is able to fulfill their love for Kashou first, the battle between the two begins!

Editorial Review
NEKOPARA After positions itself as a direct sequel continuation in an increasingly saturated niche: the cohabitation romance visual novel where player choice theoretically determines branching outcomes among competing romantic interests. What distinguishes this entry is its deliberate focus on emotional conflict rooted in familial obligation versus romantic desire—specifically between Fraise and Shigure, both of whom view Kashou through fundamentally different frameworks of commitment and belonging.
The work’s structural tension derives from a genuine narrative paradox: both heroines love the protagonist, but Fraise prioritizes sibling bonds as an ethical foundation while Shigure privileges the collective happiness of her catgirl household. This isn’t merely a rivalry subplot—it’s the central dramatic motor. The premise acknowledges that these two characters cannot both have their desires fulfilled without someone experiencing loss, creating genuine stakes rather than the consequence-free abundance typical of the genre. The combination of multilingual support (Japanese voice, English text, traditional Chinese), animation, and full voice acting suggests substantial production investment typical of DLsite’s upper-tier releases.
The application format signals replayability and branching paths, likely allowing players to navigate between the competing loyalty frameworks these characters represent. This thematic coherence around obligation and desire within found family structures distinguishes NEKOPARA After from standard harem dynamics where every route resolves harmoniously.
This appeals most to players seeking emotional depth within the cohabitation romance framework—those who engage with visual novels for character psychology and narrative tension rather than purely mechanical romance outcomes. Readers fatigued by consequence-free branching will find the Fraise-Shigure dynamic refreshingly weighted.
A sequel that justifies its existence through genuine dramatic complication rather than series inertia.
