    Synopsis

An RPG where you get gooey and intimate with a slimegirl!

“Take me out of this labyrinth”

The protagonist encounters Labym, a slimegirl, deep within a labyrinth. To free those trapped in the labyrinth, he must destroy the crystal said to reside in its depths. As a “reward” for his cooperation, Labym whispers something into the protagonist’s ear.

This is a labyrinth exploration RPG following a man who challenges the labyrinth for wealth and a woman who dreams of the outside world.

    Synopsis

    Elms, the Labyrinth City.

Once a small mining town, Elms was utterly transformed by the discovery of a colossal labyrinth stretching deep beneath the surface. Adventurers and merchants flocked from all corners of the land, eventually leading to its development into a thriving labyrinth city. By day, its streets buzz with lively markets and busy blacksmiths, while by night, taverns overflow with those recounting their triumphs. Yet, it’s said that no one has ever reached the deepest levels of the labyrinth.

During his exploration, a young man encounters a slimegirl in a ruin-like room on one of the labyrinth’s levels.

    Character Profile

“I want to try ice cream”

A slimegirl who can speak. She has spent her life alone deep within the labyrinth, but one day, through her encounter with the protagonist, she develops a strong longing for the “outside world.” During their adventure, she engages in casual conversations with the protagonist, and occasionally contemplates her own “reason for being.”

A green slimegirl who is both pure and yet capable of a bewitching, impish smile.

    Game System

The combat system uses CTB (Charge Turn Battle)! Observe the turn order and open a path through the battle with your best move.

As you delve deeper, the relationship between the man and the slimegirl, Labym, will also change. There’s an event every 5 floors, and every 10 floors…?

Your goal: the deepest part of the labyrinth.

    Editorial Review

★4.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Bound by the Crystal positions itself squarely within the growing subgenre of monster-girl-focused exploration RPGs that prioritize intimate progression mechanics alongside traditional dungeon crawling. This niche has matured considerably, but works that balance genuine gameplay systems with character-driven narrative remain comparatively scarce.

The slimegirl protagonist Labym is the work’s central asset, functioning as both companion and romantic arc driver rather than a mere reward endpoint. The premise—a labyrinth explorer and a trapped creature form a mutually beneficial alliance that develops into something more intimate—inverts the typical power dynamic of the genre by centering her agency and desire. The setting of Elms as an established adventurer hub provides worldbuilding grounding; this isn’t a generic fantasy void, but a functioning city with economics and social texture. The “gooey” descriptor in the synopsis hints at the work’s unique sensory angle—slimegirl morphology creates distinct intimate possibilities compared to standard humanoid designs, and the developers appear to have built this into both gameplay and narrative payoff.

The inclusion of “Music” and “Application” tags suggests polished presentation values. Audio design in exploration RPGs directly impacts immersion, and the application designation indicates this likely runs standalone with proper optimization rather than delivering a rough engine port.

Veteran players seeking monster-girl content will find Labym’s combination of genuine personality, reciprocal relationship dynamics, and tactile (literally) slime-specific intimacy more narratively satisfying than purely mechanical collections. The labyrinth structure also provides environmental variety that can sustain playtime without overwhelming production scope. Genre enthusiasts who’ve grown fatigued with interchangeable companion designs should find the slimegirl’s conceptual distinctiveness refreshing.

This delivers exactly what its premise promises: rewarding exploration paired with believable character chemistry, elevated by thoughtful monster-girl design choices.
