[ENG Ver.] The Secret Friend 3

Editorial Review

★3.7 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Slime-centered monster fantasy is a crowded corner of the adult manga and doujinshi landscape, and most entries are one-off encounters with little continuity. This third installment of an original series stands out by giving its magic academy student, Mint, and her slime companion a running relationship across volumes, a more serial approach than the genre usually offers.

What sets this chapter apart is the premise shift. The familiar slime vanishes, and Mint’s search leaves her lost in a cave full of erotic slimes. That turns a one-on-one dynamic into an escalation scenario, from a single familiar creature to an entire nest, which gives the volume its own reason to exist instead of repeating the earlier setup. The magic academy backdrop gives Mint a defined identity beyond the encounters, and the missing-companion hook adds a small emotional thread to the setup. At 22 main pages it is compact, and the synopsis points to a premise-driven piece rather than a plot-dense one. The JPEG and PDF formats and an official English release make it easy to read across devices, which still matters in a market where English availability is uneven. The creator notes it works as a standalone or as a sequel, so newcomers aren’t locked out, though returning readers will get more from the reunion
