[ENG Ver.] War Play with the Maidens of Battle! ~Female Assassin~

Editorial Review

★4.1 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Fantasy-setting doujin manga tend to treat world-building as set dressing, with a thin premise that exists only to get to the first scene. This third entry in an original otherworld series pushes against that trend, elevating a supporting character, the female assassin from an earlier volume, to main heroine and building a serialized universe around her.

The most distinctive feature is the page budget. At 143 pages in total, 61 are devoted to the introduction and 74 to the H-scenes, with a further 8 for the cover, illustration, and a punchline described as a culmination. A near-even split between setup and payoff is unusual in a market where narrative is often trimmed to a few opening pages. The circle is also upfront about it, with a caution that the introduction and punchline run long. That candor suggests confidence in the story rather than an attempt to pad the count. The promotion of a returning secondary character also rewards readers who have followed the series, and the assassin archetype implies a heroine with competence and edge, though the synopsis gives no specifics. The release is an official English version in JPEG format, which makes it easy to read on any device without the usual translation friction.

It will suit readers who treat the story as part of the appeal and who are willing to sit through a slow build before the erotic content arrives. Those who want to skip straight to the action will find the pacing frustrating.

For fans of story-driven fantasy doujin, this is a patient, substantial entry that earns its length.
