Kajikawa and Ichihara have been friends with benefits (FWB) for a few years.
One day, Kajikawa decided to end this relationship because she wanted to go marriage hunting.
But that was only a pretext.
Kajikawa was in love with Ichihara. However, to him, she was just one of his many FWBs…
Believing her feelings for him would go unrequited, she cut off ties with him.
Not long after the breakup,
Ichihara texted her, saying he wanted to come to her place to retrieve some of the stuff he had forgotten there.
Naturally, Kajikawa declined, but eventually, she lost to his pushiness and allowed him in her house.
Suddenly, he hugged her from behind, saying:
“I love you, Kajikawa.”
She pushed him away even though she was shaken by his out-of-the-blue confession, thinking that his words were only to keep her around as his FWB.
In the past, Ichihara told her:
“I like how you don’t tell me that you love me.”
These words traumatized her so much that she couldn’t believe Ichihara anymore.
