[ENG Ver.] The Puppetizing Collar

Editorial Review

★3.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Fantasy-flavored restraint fiction with a cursed-item premise, this short manga sits in the niche where the appeal comes from power imbalance and situational setup rather than sprawling plot. The swordswoman protagonist and magical-artifact framing are familiar territory, but the genre tends to treat the setup as disposable, so a clearly defined antagonist and a stated motive are a modest point in its favor.

What distinguishes the piece is its combination of elements. The synopsis frames the villain as “despicable” and his revenge as “unjustified,” so the story makes no attempt to redeem him or muddy the moral picture. That clarity suits readers who want the dynamic stated plainly. The shrinking effect adds a size-difference layer to an otherwise standard capture scenario, and the heroine’s escape attempt gives the narrative a push-and-pull structure instead of simple helplessness from the first page. The creator also flags that depictions of restraint are the main feature, which is a useful honesty. Expect the focus to stay on confinement and powerlessness, not on a broad range of scenarios. At 17 main pages plus extras, the pacing should be tight, built around one premise rather than padded out.

The English version arrives in JPEG and PDF formats, which makes it easy to read on nearly any device and spares English-language readers the usual hunt for a workable translation.

Readers who enjoy fantasy heroines placed in helpless situations, with restraint and size-play elements front and center, will get the most from it. For a compact, single-minded entry in a narrow niche, it delivers precisely what its description promises and nothing more.
