Square Off! 2 ~Bewitchment~

Editorial Review

★3.4 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Square Off! 2 positions itself as a tournament-driven adult manga that leans heavily into the competitive fighting framework popularized by fighting game adaptations. The R-15 rating signals restrained content compared to explicit doujinshi, making this accessible to readers seeking suggestive narrative tension over hardcore material.

What distinguishes this sequel is its dual-character focus and the deliberate pairing of Tifa against Bayonetta—a choice that capitalizes on contrasting archetype appeal. The synopsis promises a power-fantasy reversal premise where the victor claims not just victory but control over her opponent’s bodily autonomy, which is a reliable draw in competitive adult manga but executed here with established video game characters that already carry fan investment. The presence of a mysterious artifact as McGuffin suggests the creator understands tournament narratives require more than just physical stakes; the addition of Scarlet as organizer implies political intrigue beneath the surface combat. The inclusion of two formats (JPEG and PDF) plus bilingual Japanese/English versions indicates production polish aimed at international DLsite audiences, while the bonus illustration from Ebiblue represents a modest additional value proposition.

The 36-page length positions this as a moderate-length work—substantial enough for narrative development but lean enough for focused pacing. The confirmed full-color illustration count suggests selective use of color for impact rather than page-by-page commitment, a cost-conscious production choice common among skilled independent creators.

Target readers are fans of fighting game crossovers with consensual power-exchange themes who appreciate character-driven narrative over pure shock content.

Square Off! 2 delivers serviceable tournament erotica for an audience that values established character matchups and narrative scaffolding over raw intensity, making it a solid mid-tier choice within its category.
