[ENG Ver.] Deflected Yuri Sex

Editorial Review

★3.8 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Deflected Yuri Sex sits in the mind-control and comeuppance corner of the yuri doujinshi space, a niche where the usual power fantasy is more often played straight than interrogated. Most remote-control app premises in adult manga run one way, with the user holding all the leverage from first page to last. Here the setup is a familiar one: a protagonist finds a mysterious app on her smartphone and aims it at an irritating classmate. The synopsis promises that the tables get turned on her, and the title suggests the power gets “deflected” back at its user.

What distinguishes the work is that reversal. A mischievous scheme that backfires gives the story a clear arc and a bit of humor in the synopsis’s “how the hell did things end up like this” beat, which is a more compelling hook than a bare setup for sex. The infirmary setting adds a contained, school-life backdrop that suits a rivalry-turned-intimacy dynamic between classmates. At 26 monochrome pages, the pacing should be tight, with little room for filler between the app’s discovery and the payoff. The five dialogue-free bonus pages are a nice extra for readers who like a wordless epilogue. The English edition ships as JPEG and PDF, so it is easy to read on most devices.

Readers who enjoy yuri with a competitive edge, and who like a protagonist who gets outplayed by her own scheme, will get the most out of it, particularly those who prefer short, plot-driven one-shots to long serials.

A compact, cleverly inverted take on the mind-control premise, best suited to readers who like their power plays to backfire.
