UmaYome ~Horse & Trainer Wedded Bliss~ Part 2

Editorial Review

★3.7 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Uma Musume anthologies occupy a peculiar space in the doujin landscape—they’re simultaneously niche (tied to a specific gacha IP) and massive (the franchise commands devoted artist communities). This sequel collection positions itself squarely in the “domestic bliss” subcategory, trading competitive racing drama for intimate trainer-character dynamics, a deliberate tonal shift that reflects broader trends toward slice-of-life content in game-adjacent works.

What distinguishes this anthology is its scale and roster diversity. Fifteen characters across forty color pages signals serious production investment for a collaborative effort; the breadth of featured characters means this isn’t a deep-dive on a handful of favorites but rather a survey of the franchise’s appealing cast. The involvement of fifteen credited artists (Kokoro Yukiboshi, Momonosuke, Soramuko, and others) introduces stylistic variety—a double-edged feature that either enriches the collection through tonal range or fragments it depending on reader preference for visual consistency. The “wedded bliss” framing, evident from the title’s emphasis on domestic partnership, signals this is romance-forward content where character chemistry and intimate scenarios take precedence over plot.

The 100+ page total package demonstrates this is substantial material, not a quick-hit release. For collectors seeking comprehensive character coverage across multiple artists’ interpretations, the sheer volume justifies the investment.

Ideal readers are established Uma Musume fans comfortable with anthology formats and appreciating multiple artist takes on their favorites—those who value character coverage over narrative cohesion. If you’re seeking a single artist’s focused vision or deeper storytelling, anthology collections inherently dilute both.

An anthology that succeeds through breadth and collaborative enthusiasm rather than singular vision—rewarding for franchise devotees comfortable trading focused narrative for extensive character roster representation.
