Pure Duty Girls After & Plus – 4th Anniversary Edition

Editorial Review

★3.5 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Pure Duty Girls taps into the audio drama niche that’s gained considerable traction on DLsite, where voice performance and intimate roleplay scenarios substitute for visual storytelling. This 4th Anniversary Edition positions itself squarely in the “duty girl” (or girlfriend roleplay) subset, a distinctly Japanese adult audio category that emphasizes emotional attachment alongside physical intimacy. The competitive landscape here is dense—success depends entirely on voice acting caliber and scenario variety.

The work’s architecture hinges on character differentiation through vocal performance and personality typing. The primary character pairs serious demeanor with physical contrast (the “insists she’s not lewd while clearly being lewd” dynamic), a reliable tension generator in this format. The inclusion of guest characters from prior installments—framed explicitly as variations on the duty girl archetype with different body types and emotional approaches—suggests the developer understands that repeat listeners crave both consistency and novelty. That the character introductions emphasize measurements and cup sizes underscores this work’s unambiguous positioning: fantasy idealization through audio immersion is the entire appeal.

The yandere tag’s presence signals one scenario at minimum ventures into possessive devotion territory, adding psychological texture beyond standard affection roleplay. The “Pure Love” branding across multiple characters suggests emotional framing rather than purely transactional fantasy, which distinguishes this from cruder entries in the category.

Audio drama newcomers seeking intimate, character-driven ASMR-adjacent experiences with multiple personality types will find straightforward appeal here. Veterans of the duty girl format will recognize familiar territory, likely returning for voice acting quality and whether the 4th Anniversary edition meaningfully expands on prior installments. The fragmented synopsis suggests promotional copy rather than genuine narrative depth—expectations should calibrate accordingly.
