“Hnn… huh? Where am I?” Izumi awakens in darkness. It seems she’s trapped inside some kind of hole, desperately calling upward for help. Eventually realizing her efforts are futile, she sits down on the ground.

Just as anxiety sets in, something touches her head. When she tries to pick it up… “Eek! An insect, aahhh!!!” Izumi, who hates bugs, frantically swats them away, but the insects keep falling on her in increasing numbers. As she frantically tries to escape in the cramped space, the hole becomes completely filled with insects, and her entire body is crawled over in a hellish nightmare.

In the mountain village of Akitsu, deep in the mountains… an incident occurs. “Hey! Shrine Priest! Is Akikao there?!” Villagers rush into the main shrine hall. Shijo Akikao, the shrine priest, faces the breathless village elder. After hearing the situation, apparently an “unusual creature” was caught in a boar trap this morning. The elder seeks his help in dealing with it.
Reluctantly heading to the scene, Akikao discovers: “Horns on its head… an oni?” “Yes. We can’t leave this oni as is. Akikao, you must handle this.”
Thus tasked with managing the captured oni, Akikao is told: “Do you know of the impregnated oni ritual?” Apparently this is a secret technique his grandfather, a previous shrine priest, had researched. If successful, it would bring various blessings.
Starting the next day, Akikao begins researching his grandfather’s documents to complete the ritual. Will he succeed in fulfilling the elder’s command and complete the ritual?
