Synopsis

Six months of unemployment and living in internet cafes have worn down the protagonist, until he discovers a cryptic job posting on an underground employment site: “Seeking young, energetic individuals. 1 billion yen reward for success. Simple work—just cause a commotion. Should be done in a day.”

The astronomical pay seems unbelievable, but desperation drives him to apply. On the job, he arrives at a hospital to find a fully armed, masked man waiting for him. Before he can protest, he’s dressed in combat gear and a mask, forced to join the mysterious vigilante known as Smiley Man. Together, they launch a midnight assault on the hospital on Christmas Eve.
