“That pose looks so cool. You’re amazing, Asagiri…”
I’m holding my camera, ready to capture the perfect shot. My subject is Asagiri Maki, a cosplayer who specializes in gender-bent versions of tokusatsu sentai heroes. We met at a special effects event and hit it off immediately. One thing led to another, and I ended up helping with her photoshoots.
For the sake of authenticity, we’ve been doing private shooting sessions in a love hotel.
“Um, I was wondering if we could shoot a different scenario…”
“I’ll help with anything within my ability…”
Then, with determination in her eyes, Asagiri says:
“I want to shoot a scene of me being stepped on by a combat soldier… I’ve been wanting to try it for a while…”
Through these situational photoshoots, I begin to discover her true nature—and confront my own hidden desires.
