Editorial Review
Legacy Remake positions itself as a supernatural locked-room mystery with dark fantasy elements, a subgenre that’s seen renewed interest in the adult visual novel space following the success of horror-tinged NTR narratives. The combination of school setting, mystery-box structure, and forced cohabitation—all amplified by the NTR tag—suggests this is less interested in traditional romance than in psychological deterioration and violation of trust.
What distinguishes this entry is its framing device: the anonymous love letter as orchestrated lure, the old school building as both setting and character, and the explicit multi-heroine trap that locks player agency alongside the cast. The inclusion of both a “Female Teacher” heroine (Asagawa Kotomi, given prominent Drama CD placement) and peer characters (Mikihara Akemi, Serizawa Mio) indicates the work isn’t content with single-perspective degradation—it’s building a chorus of vulnerability. The pre-order bonus structure, particularly the “Endless Nightmare” and “Defiled Friendship” Drama CDs, signals the developer understands that audio immersion matters in horror-adjacent NTR content; voice acting by named seiyuu suggests production quality above typical DLsite fare.
The synopsis cuts off mid-sentence, which is unfortunate, but the setup is unmistakable: confined-space mystery that will exploit character relationships under duress. The DOS version inclusion for the Deluxe Edition (Windows 11 compatible) indicates this is a remake of an older 2000s work, suggesting the developer is reviving and expanding IP with modern production values rather than creating from scratch.
This targets readers comfortable with psychologically damaging scenarios who specifically want their NTR served within mystery and horror frameworks rather than straightforward seduction narratives. The locked-room setup removes choice fantasy; characters will experience what they experience regardless of player preference.
A deliberately unsettling mystery-horror NTR that treats confinement and betrayal as both mechanical and thematic inevitability.
