Beyond the visual impact of her voluptuous figure, the psychological portrayal through facial expressions and gestures is meticulous, giving this work dramatic depth beyond mere erotica. The chemistry with co-star Kimura Hiroyuki feels natural, effectively conveying the wife’s conflicted emotions. However, given high expectations, the ending feels somewhat rushed. Whether all 142 minutes are effectively utilized may vary by viewer. Nevertheless, serious treatments of married woman stories are rare in this genre.
