◇Story
Following a devastating war in the past, the surface world became heavily contaminated, making it nearly uninhabitable. Humanity gradually weakened and dwindled in numbers. The survivors applied military technology from the war era to establish massive city-states in the few areas with low contamination levels. As people lived in these cities and steadily worked to remove internal and external contamination, the population slowly grew.
With population growth came widespread city construction. Records of weapons, technology, and information from the war era—obstacles to human restoration—were sealed and erased. Future generations would not repeat the same mistakes.
Time passes. The present day. The great war of the past is now spoken of only in fragmented accounts. On the surface, peace reigns. But in the shadows, criminals relentlessly excavate and misuse relics from the war era using rare remaining records. Guardians exist to suppress these crimes and maintain peace in the cities.
