Youji Sakiyama was an unassuming, unremarkable student. There was nothing particularly different about him compared to others—just someone who was slightly unfamiliar with socializing. But from a certain point forward, subtle changes began occurring around him.

Tetsuo Shironuma—a classmate with whom Youji had never even exchanged words. Youji gradually becomes aware that Tetsuo’s gaze is always directed at him. Yet Tetsuo refuses to reveal his true intentions, slowly consuming Youji’s consciousness and filling him with inexplicable dread.

Around the same time, Youji discovers a terrible secret. His body begins to change. An irresistible impulse surges within him, and against his will, he produces grotesque, unspeakable flesh. Horrified by this incomprehensible phenomenon with no answers in sight, Youji descends slowly into despair and fear—alongside the one who guides his fate.
