Five years after the Third World War – The 3rd Division. The small island nation of Nihon is divided east and west, still struggling with reconstruction. In particular, Toukyou, the former capital left behind in the gap between east and west and now called the Old Capital, has degenerated into a lawless zone plagued by drugs. Furthermore, in the northern city of Toshima, the drug organization Vischio begins a deadly battle game called “Igura.” Hearing rumors that ‘the winner of Igura will be promised the seat of the organization’s leader and vast riches,’ hot-blooded young people head toward the violent city of Toshima.
In such a dying age, Akira lived alone. A champion of the street fight “Bl@ster” and undefeated master, yet feeling emptiness in his empty daily battles, he is one day detained by police as a murder suspect. Though Akira protests his innocence, his words go unheeded. Eventually, two people appear before the defiant Akira. The woman makes him an offer: “We could set you free, if you accept our terms.”
The condition they propose in exchange for acquittal is: ‘Participate in Igura, defeat the drug organization’s leader, and dismantle the organization.’ Akira resolves to venture into Toshima alone—but what awaits him…!?
