Synopsis
Your apartment building is about to get demolished, so you’ve found yourself with no options but to move out. Might as well go with a share house, right? But the two guys already living there are a little sleazy…
They throw you a welcome party with just the three of you, but after Itsuki gets a bit too drunk and falls asleep, Azusa begs for you to sleep with him. And then when Itsuki wakes up, it’s more of the same.
And so this strange and physical love-triangle relationship begins…

Characters
Itsuki Aikawa (CV: Masato Kawamura)
Age: 29 / Birthday: June 1st / Blood type: A
An office worker at an IT company. He’s not particularly serious about his work, but if handed a task he’ll complete it more than adequately. He can handle just about anything. Even so, he’s aware of his limits and doesn’t overexert himself. He really respects the way Azusa is working toward a dream. When it comes to romance, Itsuki is the type to go with the flow — partners come and go in his life. He’ll usually try to match the intensity of their feelings, though. When he really loves someone, though, he’ll go all-out.
Azusa Hokari (CV: Kazuya Irodori)
Age: 20 / Birthday: December 29th / Blood type: B
A cosmetology student. He’s cheerful, friendly, and can get along with anyone. It’s his dream to be a stylist, so he’s studying quite hard. In high school he had a girlfriend, though beauty school hasn’t left him with much time for dating. But he’s having a good enough time that he doesn’t really mind. It’s been so long, though, that he’s not exactly sure how to approach someone he likes anymore. He tends to play around with women casually, but doesn’t go after his classmates for fear of making things awkward at school.

Editorial Review
Happy Housemates slots into the crowded domestic-cohabitation subgenre of otome voice work, where proximity and circumstance manufacture intimacy. The setup—forced roommate situation leading to sexual entanglement—remains a reliable formula, though this entry distinguishes itself by foregrounding a threesome dynamic rather than forcing a binary choice between love interests.
What separates this from standard housemate fare is its willingness to commit to the triangle rather than treat it as an epilogue. The cold open, where one character’s intoxication becomes the narrative permission slip for the encounter, establishes a morally gray tone that many girls’ voice works shy away from. Azusa’s explicit proposition to the protagonist while Itsuki sleeps, followed by his reciprocation upon waking, creates an uncomfortable but deliberate sexual honesty—these aren’t reformed bad boys, they’re sleazy roommates who remain sleazy. The casting of Masato Kawamura and Kazuya Irodori, paired against each other in a shared scenario rather than isolated routes, suggests vocal interplay matters here; the overlap with their individual choice routes (which exist separately) underlines that this threesome version is the “true ending” in some narrative sense.
At fifty-seven minutes of core content, this lands in the extended-session territory where scene structure matters more than novelty. The production appears solid—scenario by Misa Nanahara carries reliability, and Suika Kamiya’s cover work signals visual polish.
Listeners drawn to morally unambiguous romance should look elsewhere. Those who appreciate voice work that leans into the sleazier implications of its premise—where attraction exists alongside ethical messiness—will find this more interesting than the typical reformed-love-interest narrative. The tag combination of threesome plus ASMR-adjacent voice work remains underexplored; this fills that niche effectively.
