Editorial Review

★4.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

This bundle packages two award-winning school romance visual novels from madosoft, a studio known for character-driven narratives and comedic timing within the ADV framework. The inclusion of both the original and its sequel represents a complete story arc in a genre increasingly fragmented between episodic releases and standalone entries—a rarity that merits attention from romance VN enthusiasts seeking narrative continuity.

The specific accolades matter here: winning the Moe Game Awards Runner-Up Prize in 2020 signals strong character design and appeal work, while the sequel’s User Support Award in 2022 suggests the studio successfully deepened what made the original resonate rather than phoning in a cash sequel. The romance-comedy combination with school setting anchors this squarely in the slice-of-life territory that currently dominates the Japanese VN landscape, but the awards suggest these titles execute the formula with enough distinctive charm to stand out from the typical high school crush narrative.

The bundle structure itself is consumer-friendly—individual downloads per title means you can pace through the original before committing to the sequel, or start fresh if the first doesn’t click. This flexibility matters when evaluating a two-game purchase; you’re not locked into a single narrative experience.

The madosoft house style prioritizes readable, character-focused storytelling over elaborate production flourishes, which plays well for players who value snappy dialogue and genuine comedic moments over visual spectacle. The romance-comedy tag combination is less common in prestige VN circles than pure romance or pure comedy entries, suggesting these titles refuse easy categorization.

Readers seeking a complete romantic arc spanning two installments, with proven community approval and studio credibility, will find this bundle delivers substance. It’s an efficient entry point into a studio whose award recognition indicates genuine craft rather than algorithmic appeal.
