Selected as Yuika’s successor was Aono Maiko, formerly of the security countermeasures division.

Maiko, who had thrived solely on her exceptional intellect, reluctantly dons the physical enhancement suit “XX (Double X)” and embarks on an undercover investigation using both her mind and body.

Alongside her AI partner PC.

“I won’t make the same mistakes as Tachibana.”

However, the enemy’s level far exceeded Maiko’s expectations.

What she thought was the enemy’s trail turned out to be nothing but traps.

Maiko finds herself in peril sooner than expected.

The criminal group restrains Maiko and attempts to extract information about the PC’s location through relentless interrogation.

“I won’t talk. I’d rather die than tell you.”

As if mocking her defiant attitude, the interrogation begins.
