Synopsis

In a world after the Demon King’s defeat.

Sluze, one of those who participated in the subjugation, lost her livelihood due to an unexpectedly early end to the war and now makes her living as a treasure hunter.

Shortly after, Sluze hears rumors of a cave where vast quantities of gold, silver, and jewels—funds once used by the former Demon King’s army—lie hidden. She heads toward the cave.

When gathering information in a town along the way, she was repeatedly warned to turn back, but she pressed on regardless.

Would there really be treasure?

Are monsters swarming the area?

Have those who ventured in never returned?

She was confident in her abilities, and besides—if she turned back at the first sign of danger, she’d never claim the treasure.

Having missed the opportunity to fight the Demon King, Sluze received only meager rewards after the war. She harbored deep resentment toward those who gained comfortable lives through their achievements.

Hiding her inner anxiety, Sluze ventures deeper into the cave.
