    Synopsis

Time has passed since that love story that changed the world. Now autumn has arrived, and Kagami Academy is preparing for its fall festival, “Kagasai.” The protagonist Ichito Tokisaka is enjoying his fulfilling school life alongside his close friends Suginami and Kanata, as well as his beloved girlfriend whom he met in spring.

“Kagasai” is Kagami Academy’s grandest festival, consisting of a sports day, cultural festival, and after-party. Celebrating this festival with his cheerful friends, classmates, and girlfriend promises to be joyful, sparkling, and unforgettable.

On Kagami Island, where artificial fairies dance in romantic white light before the snow begins to fall, a new story unfolds for lovers who have just begun walking their shared path together.

    Editorial Review

D.C.4 Sweet Harmony slots comfortably into the established pattern of visual novel fan discs—bonus content designed for players already invested in a larger narrative universe. As a cross-platform digital exclusive for the D.C. series, it operates within the well-trodden school romance subgenre, though its emphasis on post-confession relationship development marks it as distinctly positioned for audiences seeking the “after the confession” phase rather than the chase itself.

The work’s distinguishing feature is its deliberate temporal and emotional framing: rather than chasing new romantic conquests, Sweet Harmony focuses on deepening an existing relationship against the backdrop of Kagasai, the academy’s multi-stage festival event. This structural choice—pivoting from pursuit to consolidation—is notably less common in visual novel design, where escalation and variety typically drive progression. The autumnal setting and the imagery of “artificial fairies” in romantic white light suggest a carefully curated aesthetic atmosphere intended to complement quiet moments of established intimacy rather than dramatic emotional peaks.

The love comedy tag indicates tonal lightness throughout, which paired with the cross-platform availability suggests accessibility-conscious design: this isn’t attempting experimental narrative or visual techniques. Instead, it prioritizes comfort and familiarity for the core D.C. fanbase.

Target audience: series veterans who’ve completed D.C.4’s main campaign and want extended time with their chosen route, particularly those who value relationship continuation over new conquest narratives.

Sweet Harmony succeeds by understanding its niche precisely—it’s fan service in the truest sense, offering devoted players the gift of autumn festivals and deepened connection rather than narrative transgression.
