Synopsis

When Isao was a university student, he kindly helped a beautiful woman who was lost in town. Attracted by his kindness, Kotoko Takaraiki fell for him at first sight and they were married. However, their marriage marks the beginning of difficult times for them both.

Kotoko is the only daughter of the wealthy Takaraiki family, a prominent upper-class household with numerous successful businesses. She was originally supposed to marry a first-class company executive arranged by her parents. While Kotoko’s strong feelings have kept the two together, the Takaraiki family has treated their love coldly and continues to demand a divorce. The couple desperately attempts to conceive, but it’s discovered that Isao has low sperm quality, making natural conception difficult. In their despair, Isao returns to his family home in Ikushima for the first time with Kotoko. When Isao’s father, Isao, learns of their fertility struggles, he hatches a scheme and proposes sperm donation to the intelligent Kotoko. Desperate and grasping at straws, Kotoko agonizes over the proposal and initially refuses. But for the sake of her beloved husband’s future, her resolve hardens.

And so begins an affair in the guise of sperm donation between Kotoko, the refined young lady, and the Ikushima family…
