■Story

Yakeda Yae, the librarian in my class.

Quiet, serious, soft-spoken, and taciturn—a model bookish girl with excellent grades.

Her most distinctive feature is the large medical mask she always wears.

She rarely speaks, and when she does, it’s in a whisper. Despite her high academic ability, she hardly raises her hand in class and always keeps to herself in the corner.

She chats occasionally with the quieter girls in class, but doesn’t seem to have any close friends.

I haven’t never seen her without it—just almost never. I’ve only caught glimpses.
