Synopsis

Story Overview

Kojiro Kashima lives a peaceful life in a rural town with his mother Sakiko and younger sister Izumi. When Izumi becomes a shut-in, the family relocates to the city. At his new school, Kojiro unexpectedly reunites with Natsuki Takino and Yuka Miyama—girls he met during a beach trip the previous summer. However, Natsuki treats him with open hostility, constantly blaming him for something while refusing to explain herself.

One day, Kojiro receives an email from someone claiming to be “Anonymous.” The message reads: “I know your secret.” Daily messages follow, each containing information that frustrates Kojiro, yet Anonymous refuses to reveal the full truth—as if enjoying his anguish. Kojiro becomes convinced that a hidden secret lies buried in that summer when he met Natsuki and Yuka, and when something happened that caused Izumi’s isolation. Determined to uncover the truth, Kojiro pursues the mystery, despite a premonition that doing so will only bring him misfortune. But he was far too naive. Regret never comes first…

This psycho-thriller adventure weaves together intricately crafted romance and realistic horror born from distorted truths, told from multiple character perspectives.
