After receiving notice of her father-in-law’s terminal diagnosis, the couple returns to his home. The father-in-law, a selfish man who has always indulged in gambling and womanizing, immediately begs them to become guarantors for expensive medical bills. Moved by his deteriorated condition, she convinces her reluctant husband to sign. Unaware it’s a fraudulent contract, her husband becomes liable for a massive debt. The father-in-law then coerces her: “If you don’t want your husband buried in debt, take care of me.” What follows is a dark tale of forbidden transgression and psychological manipulation.
