Synopsis
Near future. The world has descended into chaos following a global catastrophe known as “The Breaking.” Nations have collapsed, and new systems of control have formed around major cities that survived the devastation from meteor impacts. The city-states of “Sanctum,” ruled by a “Queen,” enforce oppressive rule through a female-centered ideology. Men are persecuted, denied respectable work, and forced to live in slums on the outskirts. In Astraea, one of Sanctum’s cities, men face similar oppression. The public security police “Grace” rules through fear and violence, with the elite military unit “Nightmare Raven”—composed solely of women sworn to eternal loyalty to the Empress—at its apex. Clashes between Nightmare Raven and the slum-dwelling men are constant, while the powerless hide in the shadows waiting for violence to pass. Then, a lone man on a jet-black motorcycle enters Astraea. His name is Kamui. His fight begins to overthrow Nightmare Raven and liberate men from tyranny.
