Synopsis
In the mid-Edo period, during the reforms of the eighth shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune, sexual crimes were rampant in the streets of Edo. Yoshiemon, an umbrella craftsman, and his young wife Koharu (Konno Yua) lived a modest but happy life together. Koharu had a younger sister named Kaede (Nadasaka Mai). The innocent Kaede could not help but envy her sister’s newlywed life.
