Synopsis

Events unfold at a hospital in a certain town.

Following the sudden death of the hospital director in an accident, a newly appointed director takes over and implements a management policy that prioritizes profit over patients.

Chidzuru and her colleagues strongly oppose this and repeatedly petition the director to reconsider his policies, but are repeatedly denied.

Growing tired of their persistent appeals, the director orders Saeko, the pharmacist, to take action.

Director: “I have little patience, you see.”

Saeko: “Understood. I shall prepare immediately.”

The next day, Saeko’s true work begins with Chidzuru.
