Synopsis
SHOOT2nd is a 3D golf game set in a fantasy world. Designed for quick, intuitive mouse controls and fast-paced gameplay, you’ll compete across 4 courses with 18 holes each, progressing from grassy greens to lakes and mountains.
There are 4 game modes: Stroke mode to chase high scores across all courses, Character Get mode to battle CPUs and unlock characters, a Shop to purchase balls and battle rules, and Battle mode for local 2-player competition on a single PC.
There are 5 playable characters and 7 different balls. Each character has levels and can be customized by spending earned EP and equipping different balls to develop your preferred abilities. Characters also possess special moves called “Ars” which can be activated by right-clicking during ball flight, causing it to dive or accelerate. Experience strategic gameplay beyond simply watching the ball fly.
The soundtrack is a substantial collection featuring 2 BGM tracks per course plus title screen music, totaling 15 songs. Enjoy fast-paced golf backed by rhythmic, energetic music. (This is a renewed compilation of SHOOT ONLINE, previously serialized in TechWin DVD magazine.)

Editorial Review
Fantasy golf with arcade sensibilities and competitive depth—SHOOT2nd carves its own niche by treating the sport as a legitimate action game rather than a simulation. This is refreshing in a doujin landscape where sports titles often default to either hyper-realistic mechanics or novelty minigames. The 3D presentation and mouse-driven controls suggest a deliberate design philosophy favoring accessibility without sacrificing mechanical complexity.
What distinguishes this work is the “Ars” system: special moves triggered mid-flight that fundamentally alter trajectory and velocity. This transforms golf from passive observation into active intervention, pivoting gameplay toward skill expression and split-second decision-making. Paired with character progression mechanics—leveling, ball variety, and customizable stat development through earned EP—you’re looking at a title that respects both casual and invested players. The four-course structure with escalating environmental complexity (grassy plains progressing to water hazards and mountain terrain) suggests thoughtful difficulty scaling. Character Get mode adds collection incentive alongside CPU competition, while local 2-player Battle mode acknowledges the enduring appeal of couch competition without requiring online infrastructure.
The soundtrack breadth—15 tracks total with two distinct pieces per course—indicates production care often absent from indie sports games; this isn’t a throwaway project.
The dual-mode design (single-player progression via Stroke and Character modes versus local competitive play) appeals to both solo grinders and social players seeking quick multiplayer sessions. Customization systems will engage min-maxers eager to optimize character builds around preferred playstyles.
This is a genuinely competent arcade sports game from independent developers. It won’t appeal to golf simulation enthusiasts or players requiring online multiplayer, but for anyone hungry for tactile, skill-rewarding sports mechanics with light fantasy flavor and genuine replayability architecture, SHOOT2nd delivers exactly what it promises: accessible depth with personality.
