Story Introduction

October 22, 2001 — Takeshi Shirogane, living peacefully in Japan, suddenly awakens in an unfamiliar world. It is a “parallel world” on the brink of human extinction due to decades of warfare against the extraterrestrial entities known as “BETA” — a front-line nation where military affairs take absolute priority: Japan. Unable to understand why he shifted between worlds, Takeshi eventually accepts his fate and fights alongside his loved ones as a UN military pilot in humanity’s salvation project. However, unable to overcome their conflicting interests, mankind chooses to abandon Earth. Three years later, Takeshi awakens from deep slumber to find himself in his room in his “original world.” Was it all just a dream…? Reality strikes mercilessly. The calendar reads October 22, 2001. Outside lies a wasteland of ruins. Takeshi has been sent back to that day when he was thrust into the parallel world. Temporal reversal following dimensional displacement. Bewildered by phenomena beyond human understanding, yet undeterred, Takeshi ventures into the ruins with resolve. As one who knows the future, he will alter history and change its tragic ending with his own hands — fragmented memories of humanity’s defeat and inexplicable loss drive his determination.
