Bakumatsu Loyalty and Patriotism – MIBURO

Synopsis

During Japan’s turbulent Bakumatsu period, an ancient mystical power awakens. When the nation faces peril, this power manifests in a chosen individual, granting them the ability to read their opponent’s weaknesses and strike them down like wind. Legend tells of a small light—sometimes a crimson flame—appearing when reading an enemy’s weakness, known collectively as the ‘Jewel’.

Ten years after the arrival of the Black Ships, Japan stands on the brink of unprecedented crisis. As political power shifts from Edo to Kyoto, the capital descends into lawlessness under the guise of ‘heavenly punishment.’ The Shinsengumi, known as the ‘Wolves of Mibu’ and led by Isami Kondo, maintains order in this chaotic land.

The protagonist, Kenta Mita, is saved by these soldiers and joins their ranks. Alongside the colorful personalities of the Shinsengumi, he protects the streets of Kyoto amid the tide of change…
