Synopsis

A magical civilization emerged in a small elven nation at the center of the Midgard continent. After several centuries, it swept across the entire continent and came to dominate thousands of races, giving birth to a colossal magical civilization-state known as Aesgarder. The thousand-year empire of Aesgarder, said to have even dominated the realm of the gods, entered a period of rapid decline after reaching its zenith two thousand years ago. After a mysterious hundred-year gap that all historical records, ancient documents, and chronicles remain silent about, the elves vanished from the continent. Now, after two thousand years of confusion, Midgard is ruled by five human kings who inherited the remnants of magical civilization. Each of the five kings harbors their own ambitions, claiming to be the rightful successor to Aesgarder, and rises to unify the Midgard continent. This marks the beginning of the Warring States period spoken of in the chronicles—the era of five-kingdom conflict. Sent on a mission by the Vanaheim Agency, the Valkyrie Alice infiltrates Helmodr Castle in the imperial capital of Helheim. There, she discovers that an evil sorcerer named Rokisol is plotting to resurrect the ancient magical civilization. Just as she corners him and is about to take his head, she is thwarted by the summoned magical beast Cyclops, allowing him to escape. After this, Alice pursues the sorcerer to Masrim Castle, the capital of Muspelheim, even going so far as to infiltrate it disguised as a s●ave prostitute. But there, she finds that Rokisol has laid elaborate traps waiting for her. Read more
