    Characters

    Hikari Kondou

The team leader with a bright smile. Before the world ended, she was on the track team at a certain school, giving her quick reflexes and judgement (and it doesn’t hurt her weapon handling ability, either!). That experience has saved her many times…

Since meeting Aya and Kirara, she’s come to see them as family. In her downtime she likes to exercise, during which she seems to be thinking fondly of the past. Her charm point is her red hair with a blue clip.

    Aya Kagano

The girl in charge of keeping order in town. She’s an older girl you can rely on for just about anything. Before the apocalypse, she was a medical student. She has outstanding powers of insight, and her medical knowledge makes her useful in a survival situation. In addition to keeping the peace, she manages the medical division in treating the injured and administering medicine. The other girls trust her implicitly to keep watch over the town.

Her trademarks are her glasses and long, black hair.

    Kirara Suzuna

A very, very cute girl who acts as a mascot despite her sharp tongue. She was previously the young daughter of a huge corporation’s CEO. She spent most of her childhood cooped up in a large mansion idolizing the outside. She supports the team with the massive gun given to her by her father.

Unlike Aya, she’s quite lazy and often unabashedly takes naps in the middle of the day. Kirara will speak ill of just about anyone, and her frank disposition has earned her many admirers. Her bouncing blonde pigtails are a point of personal pride for her.

    Ichika Natsuki

A mysterious girl who appeared one day during a rebellion. She’s a skilled sniper who wears a hood with cat ears on it. She used to wander the dangerous wastes alone, thought nobody really knows why.

She joined the town at Hikari’s suggestion. She starts to open up to the others as she gets to know them. What is the new threat she keeps talking about, and what are her true intentions?

    Editorial Review

Seed of the Dead: Sweet Home positions itself in the hybrid action-adult game space where zombie-survival mechanics anchor a narrative-driven harem premise. This is firmly in the “content demo” tradition where DLsite trial versions serve as both compatibility check and extended preview, though the minimal story scope limits critical evaluation of the full experience.

The distinctive angle here hinges on the action-FPS framework paired with town-management progression and multi-heroine event systems. Rather than pure visual novel pacing, players engage in active gameplay—weapon variety, character leveling to cap 5, and skill advancement—while unlocking H-scenes and character events tied to relationship tiers. The trial’s Act 1 structure and level-capped progression suggest a gating system designed to pace content unlock across longer play sessions, which differentiates this from static visual novels. The inclusion of town-expansion mechanics (withheld from trial) implies light simulation elements layered beneath the action core, a combination uncommon in the adult zombie-survival space.

Japanese-only localization in the trial against multilingual retail availability indicates professional-grade production standards. The tag emphasis on “Application” rather than pure VN confirms this is engine-driven gameplay rather than click-through narrative.

This appeals squarely to players who want mechanical engagement alongside ero-content—those fatigued by pure visual novels but seeking more narrative depth than typical action titles. Zombie-survival enthusiasts with tolerance for explicit content will find the thematic coupling less jarring than genre purists might.

The trial-first approach is pragmatic for an action game where engine performance and control responsiveness matter. Whether the base action mechanics justify extended play between H-scenes remains the critical unknown, making the demo essential rather than optional.
