Synopsis

The protagonist was once an excellent employee at a prestigious company, but after a certain incident, decides to resign and escape from society. Planning to live quietly in the countryside on savings, he finds an affordable property in the rural town of Anoyama, far from the city.

Intending to spend time alone until he regains a positive outlook, he unexpectedly befriends Tsubasa, Misao, and Kaede—three people on summer break. His planned solitary life transforms into daily adventures with them. Through these encounters, he begins to discover more about himself.

Touko is a widow who has repeatedly rejected remarriage, holding onto the memory of her late husband. Even her son doesn’t wish for a new father, so she resolved to remain single for life. However, meeting the protagonist and witnessing her son grow close to him causes her heart to waver.

Then, a crisis strikes the coffee shop Touko manages. And…
