“Red Spider Gaiden: Dark Battle” is a hardboiled visual novel set in Hong Kong noir, featuring the underworld as its stage.

This work depicts an incident that occurred 3 years before “Red Spider” and 4 years after “Red Spider 2,” told from the perspectives of Lai, Wingho, and Yueji.

【Story】

Four years have passed since Yueji’s defection from Hong Kong’s assassination organization “Spider Web.”

Yueji now works as a singer at “Dragon Claw Flower,” a night club managed by Yang Kun, the leader of “Red Flower Society,” a triad organization operating throughout Kowloon.

One day, Yueji learns that Lai, a former detective and acquaintance from her past, has opened a detective agency and visits him to reconnect.

Shortly after, a model named Enon is found murdered in an alley in Kowloon Bay.

Arrested as the suspect is Black Leopard, a burlesque dancer and Enon’s lover.

Wingho, a lawyer and Yang Kun’s son who is also Yueji’s lover, takes on Black Leopard’s defense and asks Yueji to investigate the case.
