Synopsis

Mel is a female swordsman serving in the knight order of a certain kingdom. Though her family is a cadet branch of the royal house, they have never inherited the throne and instead hold important positions across generations.

Mel, despite her youth, earned her position as bodyguard to Princess Clarisse through her exceptional swordsmanship.

Her first assignment was to escort the princess on a secret diplomatic visit abroad. However, they are suddenly ambushed during the outing.

The guard detail, kept minimal to avoid attention, is quickly overwhelmed by the surprise attack. Though Mel fights valiantly, she is no match for the sorcerer’s magic and the princess is kidnapped.

Devastated by her own inadequacy yet knowing the princess cannot have gone far, Mel sets out on a journey of pursuit.
