Review

If you have played the other Grimhelm games than you know what to expect. High quality graphics and decent gameplay. This game puts the “metroid” in “metroidvania-style” as it borrows a lot of that style of game. The animations are great, but they do seem to lack a bit of variance. I always like it when the animation changes when the starts speeding up, and this one technically does that but it is extremely subtle.

Still, 100% worth your time and your money

Gameplay is solid. Worth a speed run or two. But that’s not why we’re here.

If you want quality, its here in excess. The lighting in certain areas, the ambience, the atmosphere are really good. (I really like the lighting)

The only downside to this version of the game is that certain parts are censored a bit. The late game is bit of a slug fest with shield spamming too.

Guess that’s it. Now hurry up and buy this game.

Lets start out that i have nothing bad to say about this game. Down to enemy patterns, difficulty and leveling systems it’s up to par with grade A metriodvania games. Now down to the capture animations there is enough variation to enjoy through the whole game. Also they are just so detailed it’s absolutely amazing. Warning though you need to grind or it’s quite difficult to get through and you have to cheese some enemies to make it reasonable. Finally a little tip after you get to areas with higher platforms you can use the attack animations and stairs to get to areas you shouldn’t be. If you do it right you can farm the “Alien” Females by jump attacking, attacking and repeat for easy levels and you can continue on to get double jump and high jump early.

I cannot recommend this game enough. The art work and game design is really top tier. The erotic situations are great. The gameplay is awesome and has some great platforming/Metroid vibes to them. The only gripes I have with the game are that it relies too much on losing to gain said erotic scenarios (just a general gripe I have with ero games that use that as the core mechanic bothers me since I feel you should want to progress in a game and also be rewarded for it) and the power-ups are a little odd at times as well. Get this game.

This review won’t be a rating system out of 10 nor buy or not, generally hate that kind of review.

Pros:
-Very responsive controls
-Combat and skills have meaning….yeah I know this shouldn’t need to be stated but too many games here have ‘skills’ but you don’t really use or need them.
-Animations, including H scenes, is nothing but high quality.
-Gamepad support, settings/options. Always a plus to have customizable experience.

Cons:
-While there is a degree of freedom to explore maps it’s designed to be completed a certain way. So some enemies/levels will be designed to outright smash you and semi punish you for exploring until you get a certain skill/ability.
-Censorship

This is a quality Megaman-like game. Kill bosses, get more abilities. Boost stats, gain more platform skills like double jump. It’s not necessarily hard if you play the way the game is intended. However Just like stated in the con, some levels NEED the double jump, or some other skill, it’s never outright stated or shown so when exploring you will likely bump into it and just die going back to a old save point. Overall the experience is fun and sadly due to the censorship I enjoyed the actual game more than the H content. I’m not calling it bad H content, it’s just how good the gameplay actually is for me.

First I’d like to let all of you know the game has English text as an option. Purchased from English DLSite with no issue.

The game is beautifully animated in my humble opinion. GRIMHELM games have always been pretty, and this game is no different. If you’re a Metroidvania fan you shouldn’t pass this up. There is an actual game here, and you’ll feel right at home as soon as you start playing.

It has a gallery mode with unlocks for those who want to enjoy the H content at leisure, and it even has Safe For Work options for content creators! It’s the first time I’ve seen that in a game like this.
