Synopsis

Story Introduction

October 22, 2001 — Takeshi Shiragin, living peacefully in Japan, suddenly awakens in an unfamiliar world. It is a “parallel world” on the brink of human extinction due to decades of warfare against the extraterrestrial threat known as “BETA” — a militaristic nation where military affairs take absolute priority.

Unable to understand why he crossed between worlds, Takeshi is tossed about by reality until he gradually accepts his fate. As a UN Army soldier involved in humanity’s salvation plan, he fights alongside his loved ones. However, unable to overcome conflicts of national interest, humanity chooses to abandon Earth. Three years later, awakening from a deep sleep, Takeshi finds himself in his room in his “original world.” Was it all just a dream…?

But harsh reality awaits him. The calendar still reads October 22, 2001. Beyond his window lies a wasteland of rubble. Takeshi has been cast back to that day — returned to the parallel world once again.

Following dimensional displacement comes temporal regression. Bewildered by phenomena beyond human comprehension, Takeshi shakes off despair and ventures into the ruins with renewed resolve. Armed with knowledge of future events, he will alter history and change the tragic outcome with his own hands. Hazy memories of humanity’s defeat and inexplicable loss drive him forward.
