◎Common Route

RailRoad modules are humanoid units that control railway vehicles. Hachiroku, the specialized RailRoad for the top-numbered 8620 class steam locomotive from the former imperial railway, was decommissioned and entered a long sleep due to line closures. By chance, youth Sotetsu Migi—a railway accident survivor—awakens her. Together with Hachiroku, his stepsister artist Hibi-hime, and Paulette (mayor and railway company president), they begin searching for the missing 8620 steam locomotive to achieve their respective goals.

◎Paulette Route

Sotetsu begins providing policy support to reduce Paulette’s burden as both mayor and company president. To realize her vision of tourism revival through railways, they plan to redevelop the abandoned Jutsusen coal mine into an experiential mining theme park called ‘Goichiya Mine Treasure’. During training with Kiha 07s and its dedicated RailRoad operator Reina, Sotetsu discovers critical maintenance issues that could threaten the tourism initiative. Together, they overcome their fears and move forward.

Sotetsu spends time with Hibi-hime to hear the true voices of Goichiya citizens and experience their daily lives.
