◇Story

A massive war in the past left the Earth heavily polluted, making it nearly impossible for life to survive. Humanity gradually weakened and dwindled in numbers. The remaining humans repurposed wartime technology to establish giant city-states in the few areas with low pollution levels. As people lived in these cities and steadily worked to remove contamination both inside and outside, the population began to grow. With increasing population came expansion of city construction across various regions. Records of weapons, technology, and information from the Great War that threatened human restoration were sealed and erased—so that future generations would never repeat the same mistakes.

Time flows to the present day. The Great War is now spoken of only in fragmented accounts. On the surface, peace reigns. But behind the scenes, those who excavate and misuse relics from the Great War using scarce remaining records continue to emerge. Guardians exist to police such activities and maintain peace in the cities.
