Harakatu! 3 – Crisis at the Pregnancy Business?

Synopsis

A letter arrives at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, which supports couples struggling with infertility. The letter reports an unscrupulous agency running a daring “pregnancy business” – or “harakatu” for short – that exploits women’s desires to have children.

Cushiji Chigen, a ministry official, is outraged and launches an investigation. After gathering evidence, she raids the suspect agency: “Ichinowatari Detective Office.”

Meanwhile, the office manager Natsuko struggles to keep operations running while the agency head Ichinowatari Tōya frequents his girlfriend’s office. The actual sperm donation services fall to Saijō Kōsai, a handsome colleague of Tōya’s who specializes in entertainment industry connections. Through these connections, Saijō successfully recruits women seeking donors, running the operation fairly smoothly.

Then Cushiji Chigen arrives with orders to shut them down. “I, Cushiji Chigen, will put an end to your illicit business!”
