Review

As a person who enjoys Pixel and Quality animations, I have to say this game has spoiled me.

The fun and sometimes frustrating gameplay is just an added bonus.

I mean… the game has jiggle physics on pixel art. While I originally went for a no rape play through once I beat the game. I lewded up the protagonist.

Overall I think this definitely worth a pick up at its retail price.

You get voice acting, fun gameplay, lewd sounds, extremely smooth animations, and sex options. Each enemy has 2 or three different animations barring certain bosses who don’t appear to have any sex scenes at all.

The game features both a gallery and an enemy spawn room upon its completion so you can throw any enemies you want at our heroine. If you’re like me, you do this because you like to vary the sex with limited interaction so that your *ahem* hand(s) are free.

I really hope Above a Damage Tile makes another game… I need my high-quality DOT fix as this is another great game like Parasite in the City (which also didn’t get a sequel).

I’ve only played the Trial version, but what I found there already seemed like something you’d find in a top-quality online game.

First up, even if some of the main heroine’s body-proportions are massively inflated, it didn’t really bother me because the pixelart was gorgeous.

The gameplay itself is pretty much a 2D hack and slay: Enemies spawn on the screen, some of them you’ll need to take out to move on, though seeing as enemies will give you EXP it would be a waste not to take out every enemy.

With every successful hit on enemies you’ll increase your character’s overdrive gauge, entering overdrive with the c-key will allow you to rapidly chain combos as well as become invulnerable for a time, leaving overdrive early by pressing the c-key again will replenish your HP, so this gives you a choice of either dishing out damage or replenishing health to stay alive.

Careful though, leaving overdrive immobilizes your character for half a second, so wait for an opening to leave the mode.

Entering overdrive mode will also rid your mind of pleasure rapidly, which is good if you’re trying to finish stages, in this game pleasure makes you susceptible to various forms of immobilizing status effects, frequently making use of overdrives is as such somewhat of a good habit instead of a bad one.

Boss enemies naturally have superarmor, this is the yellow gauge with the shield-icon, this automatically regenerates over time, your objective should be to gain overdrive mode by sneaking in attacks slowly but surely, and then to whittle down this superarmor gauge with overdrive attacks, once the superarmor gauge is down, the enemy is vulnerable to knockback and you can deal with them to your heart’s content.

I found these systems quite fun, and I can already tell this is going to be a game I’ll cherish for a while.

This review won’t be a rating system out of 10 nor buy or not, generally hate that kind of review.

-Not much in terms of story

Overall I’d say this is a very good game. It’s not really difficult, especially when you level up, but you can make it difficult by attempting a speed run. There’s also quality of life stuff added to help get the scenes you want or view after you already viewed it.

The game is overall very fun and has great sex animations. The attack animations are well made and the combat feels smooth, it is easy to chain together combos when fighting the enemies. The game includes a cool feature in combat where fighting and hitting enemies charges an overdrive meter which, when activated, completely changes your attacks, allows you to deal more damage, and increases movement speed. Deactivating this early also heals you, forcing you to choose between damage potential and healing. The sex animations are also very smooth and well made. While most enemies only have one sex animation, some enemies have a second animation depending on the traits of Ayura (gained by being ‘attacked’ by enemies a lot). The bosses in the game become somewhat difficult later on, presenting an actual challenge near the end of the game.

Pros:
-Smooth and fun combat with flashy attack animations
-Smooth and well made sex animations
-Some enemies have more than one sex animation (note that while some enemies only have one sex animation, it has multiple phases depending on how horny Ayura is, going from teasing to penetration to cumming to afterglow)
-Ayura can strip down to fight in less or no clothing (if having the trait to do so) and this is consistent in sex animations and attack animations
-The defeat animations after losing to a boss are very sexy
-Ayura has dialogue during the levels which change depending on traits and what enemy is attacking
-Ayura herself is very cute!

Cons:
-There is not much enemy variety in the game
-Most enemies only have one sex animation

The combat’s very good and the mechanics all work nicely. It surprised me positively, as usually games of this type aren’t really all that fleshed out.
More content than I expected.

Several levels, all with different enemies and a different bossfight at the end. Items you can buy to raise health, mp or arousal etc.
The character’s traits change according to what happens and therefor you can “break” her with all the lewd action.
Highly recommended. I wish the world had more games like this 🙂

This game is a super simple side scroller with one basic combo and one other combo when you go into a “burst” like state. Ayura Crisis is a rather short game, but its fun. It can be challenging if you get grouped on in a corner (corner grape). It features grab moves that the enemies can perform on you if you are stunned or in a defenseless state (a certain gauge gets filled up) that are extremely lewd. The game obviously has a gallery mode so that you can witness these animations and more any time that you so desire.

Their are dress up options and you can even increase Ayura’s bust after you beat the game. There is also fun to be had after you beat the game with more challenge.

It’s an ok game if you can get it on sale.
