Synopsis

Tatsuki and Minami are newlyweds in their second year of marriage, living happily together. One day, Minami receives news of her father’s death. Raised in a single-parent household, her grief is profound, but with Tatsuki’s support, she begins to heal.

Soon after, Shima, a friend of her late father and a loan shark, visits the couple with a grim demand: repayment of her father’s outstanding debts. After much deliberation, they decide to assume the debt themselves.

Struggles mount as they live modestly while burdened by inherited debt. Tatsuki overexerts himself trying to make ends meet and falls ill. Seeing his suffering and reminded of her father, Minami makes a fateful decision. She accepts Shima’s proposal—to settle the debt using her own body.
