Synopsis

March 14th, Genroku 14 (1701). An unprecedented incident shakes the land: Asano Naganori, lord of the Ako Domain, draws his blade against Kira Yoshinao, head of the high court nobles, in the halls of Edo Castle. The fifth shogun, Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, flies into a rage, ordering Asano’s immediate execution and the dissolution of his domain. Kira faces no punishment. In a single night, three hundred samurai lose their livelihoods—many meeting tragic ends. Yet forty-six brave ronin rise up to avenge their fallen lord. Among them appears Fukamizukiguha, the protagonist mysteriously transported from modern times through an inexplicable timeslip.
