Oda Ayato, a government-affiliated exorcist, is tasked with investigating and destroying a cursed object at Kumo Academy, a school that teaches “blade arts.” Working alongside teammates Tsukiorange Himeme and Shirakumo Ruri, Ayato discovers that Kazane Marika—the daughter of a Haitou Goshinkai executive—possesses the cursed item. After successfully destroying it, Marika becomes a focal point for spiritual disturbances. “No matter what happens, I want to keep standing by your side,” she declares. As Ayato becomes her temporary mentor to teach her how to fight spiritual harm, the two navigate a winter romance while facing the supernatural chaos of a near-future world.
